disease, involving replacement of necrotic muscle tissue by
fibrous material and fatty infiltration. It is caused by the
absence of dystrophin, which led to children muscle atrophy
[1]. The ability of motion may be predicted by measuring the
severity of DMD. In this study, we hypothesized that DMD
changes ultrasound backscattered signals because of the
replacement of necrotic muscle tissue by fibrous material and
fatty infiltrates with the severity progress. Based on this
hypothesis, we could judge the discrimination ability of the
severity of DMD.
