Invited talk: BNCT (Boron Neutron Capture Therapy), a new cancer treatment technique using accelerators

Speaker : Professor Hiroshi Matsumoto from KEK High Energy Accelerator Research Organization, Japan

Topic : BNCT (Boron Neutron Capture Therapy), a new cancer treatment technique using accelerators

Date : 03/27 (δΈ€) 10:00-12:00 Am

Meeting Venue: Meeting Room 1, B1, Second Medical Building, Chang Gung University.

Chang Gung University's Institute of Radiation Research and the Radiation Experiment Core Laboratory at Linkou Chang Gung Hospital are honored to invite Honorary Professor Hiroshi Matsumoto from Japan's J-PARC High-Intensity Proton Accelerator Research Center to give a keynote lecture. The "Japanese High-Intensity Proton Accelerator Facility J-PARC" is a joint collaboration between the "Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute" and the "High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK)" to develop cutting-edge accelerator experimental facilities for particle physics, nuclear physics, material science, life science, and atomic energy science research.

Professor Hiroshi Matsumoto is an expert in proton accelerator and RF accelerator cavity design, having participated in numerous proton accelerator and proton high-speed injector development projects. In recent years, Professor Matsumoto has been involved in the development of proton linear accelerator applications for BNCT therapy technology in Japan and has also served as a consultant for the development of RF proton linear accelerator BNCT therapy technology in South Korea. In this lecture, Professor Matsumoto will introduce the application of particle accelerators in BNCT therapy technology. Everyone is welcome to attend this exciting event.
