    Dr. Yung-Liang Wan is currently the Professor and Chairman of the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences, College of Medicine, Chang Gung University. He is a professor of radiology in the Department of Medical Imaging and Intervention, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital at Linkou.
    He graduated from the College of Medicine, National Taiwan University in June 1980. He completed his Resident Training in the Department of Medical Imaging and Intervention at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital at Linkou in June 1985. He had received several board certifications, including ECFMG (USA, 1983), VQE / FMGEMS (USA, 1985) and American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (1989) in which he passed the physics part by 93 percentile and clinical part by 97 percentile.
    Dr. Wan has been affiliated with a number of societies. Currently, he is the President of the Asian Society of Thoracic Radiology (ASTR), Vice president of Asian Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (ASCI), Secretary of the Asian Federation of Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (AFSUMB), Standing Board Director of the Chinese Taipei Society of Radiology (CTSR) and the President of Taiwan Society of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences (TSMIRS).
    Dr. Wan specializes in body imaging and ultrasonography. He has made academic contributions such as being Congress President in the 3 rd Asian Congress of Thoracic Imaging (ACTI 2016), and Congress President in the 4 th Asian Congress of Cardiovascular Imaging (ASCI 2010). He has published 268 papers of which more than two thirds were published in journals cited by Scientific Citation Index (SCI). Editor of one book and contributor of 6 book chapters. He has been invited to give 67 domestic lectures and 58 oversea. Winning 13 awards and honors. He has led 27 research projects and held 8 international academic symposia.
