About us

The Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences is a department with a strong commitment to teaching and research.  Our department provides a comprehensive and interdisciplinary curriculum, which begins with a critical understanding of engineering, mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology, and builds towards state-of-the-art research and development in medical imaging and radiological sciences.

Our department was established in 1996 as the division of Radiological Technology in the School of Medical Technology, and became the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences in 2004.

Originally we offered one undergraduate degree, the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences.  Then in 2006, the program of Master of Science (M. Sc.) in Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences was introduced.   Then in Fall 2011, we commenced our Ph.D. program in Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences under the Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences.
All graduate courses are taught in English.  The graduate curriculum in our department are based on the AAPM curriculum.
